I was L/Cpl Hal Smith, with 3rd AT's on Okinawa from May 61 to May 63.  My home was Greeley, CO, I enlisted in Mar 1959 in the all Colorado Platoon, Plt. 344, MCRD San Diego.  Got out of the Corps, enlisted in the Navy, became hospital corpsman, went straight back to FMF, and stayed for most of my Navy career.  Was at Chu Lai in 65, participated on Operation Starlight 18Aug65.  Instructed at Field Medical Service School, Camp Del Mar, Camp Pendleton for 3 years.  Photos are all at 3rd AT's.  I was in Comm. section in AT's.  Remember, "You can take any support from a commander and limit his ability to command, take communications away from a commander and you eliminate his ability to command
